How cool is that? Team Smile and Nod's album 'Mourning Time' was picked by Australian music journalist Sue Barrett as #7 on her 'Top 10 Albums Of The Year' list for Rhythms Magazine's January 2013 issue. Rhythms Magazine is an Australian roots music magazine known for its "authority, credibility, and diversity." Sue Barrett also contributes articles to FolkBlog. A HUGE thank you to Sue Barrett and Rhythms Magazine for this honor. It's amazing to be part of a list that includes so many spectacular musicians (including one of Kara's favorites- Dar Williams).
Our remixer friend, Piero Peluche, was approached by Asuyeta fashion designer Erika about using his remix of our song "Dust from the Stars" in a video. We all consented and I even ended up with a cool light blue scarf as a 'thank you.' (By the way, it's a beautiful scarf... the best one I own. Thanks, Erika!) Here's Erika's blog about the fashion shoot that includes the video at the end. And here's the video:

The second is a chill, electro remix of "Dust from the Stars" by Soen. Thank you both for working with our stems! You can download these remixes and check out the artists by following the title links. Hope you dig!
