Chris DeVille from the Columbus Alive mentioned Team Smile and Nod in his blog, Sensory Overload.  Here's what he said:

"Lastly, I would like to mention the release show for Team Smile and Nod. For all I know, this may be the group's first ever live performance, but their album, Look Both Ways Before You Die, sounds like the work of seasoned pros. It's female-fronted electro-pop with an unambiguous agenda for social equality. I'm looking forward to giving it some more ink in the future. In the meantime, the duo will take the stage tonight at East Village, 630 N. High St. This 10 p.m. show is free as can be."

PAT RADIO on WCRS, 102.1 FM and 98.3 FM, in Columbus, Ohio played Team Smile and Nod's song, "Effortless Effort" at the end of his first hour of music.  It aired on Wednesday, October 15th, 2008.  It's fun to hear it b/c he had to warp out some of the "bad" words.  Go to his site to download or stream the program.  His program is great, btw, as it highlights Columbus bands and indie music.

Here's a few kind things he said:

"...Boy, that "Still Stuck" is just probably the pop standout on the record... just the beat and the feel..."

"We we're talking about Kara's concepts, Kara's lyrics... they go from the personal to the social to the political at the turn of a phrase."
